Another year has gone by and it is now 44 years since I and my colleagues left our homes and our families to begin our amazing journey culminating in our becoming physicians. May of us had never left home before, and certainly had never been in a foreign country. With the help and guidance of Dr. Albert Schrager and the Italo-American Medical Education Foundation we succeeded. Now many of us are senior physicians, some have retired, and some have passed on. Let those of us who are still here look back on those days to remember the opportunities given to us by a foreign land, without which we would not have accomplished everything we have. I salute you all for your dedication, the good work you have done, and all that you have accomplished. Saluti a tutti!
